New Year's Evening is one of those holidays which are celebrated by everyone throughout the world.

So here we are on December the 31st, near Christmas Tree at home or a square, with a good company waiting for this fairy moment of countdown. Twelve, eleven, .., three, two, one and - happy New Year!

Countries around the world join the celebrations and each one has its own, sometimes funny traditions of meeting. So let's take a look at where the most colorful and spectacular New Year eve and fireworks are held across the planet, starting from east to west.

New Zealand is the first country which celebrate the New Year eve. Sometimes, because of heavy rains, organizers have to cancel most of the celebrations. But regardless the weather, which accompanied the last days of December in New Zealand, an impressive fireworks at the Sky Tower in the business center of Auckland aren't canceled.

One of the biggest shows held in australian Sydney. The incredible light effects begins three hours before midnight and centered around Sydney Harbour - on the harbour bridge and the famous Opera House. Organizers spend millions dollars and about 9 tons of explosives. But 15 minutes of fairy tale is probably worth it. A spectacular fireworks gather about 1,5 millions of people, watching live the famous show on the Sydney harbour bridge.

In Tokyo, thousands of people come on squares to celebrate New Year, at midnight let in the sky air ballons with the whishes for future.
Tens of thousands of people in Hong Kong count down together the seconds before the upcoming Year, which are projected onto the wall of the skyscraper.
A spectacular fireworks have place in the United Arab Emirates. Unforgetable and impressive light performance embrace the Burj Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai, the tallest building in the world, which is 800m (2,723 ft) in height!

In Greek festive decorated Athens, New Year is always come under colorful fireworks above the Acropolis and all over the city.

Some 100,000 of people gather at the Sophia square of the Ukranian capital Kyiv to celebrate the Year to come. A local Christmas tree with a market is right below the millennium-old cathedral, which adds an atmosphere of inter-century connection.

In the New Year's evening Italian Rome explode with a set of illuminations too. The temperamental Italians have their own interesting tradition - to get rid of old or unused stuff by dropping them from the window at midnight. It could be a T-shirt or even furniture! :)

About one million people join the two kilometre long "party mile" in German capital Berlin, where exactly at midnight, the famous Brandenburg Gate illuminated with fireworks. For some Germans, there is a tradition to jump in the last second before the New Year for a new, dynamic begginings.

The show starts with the rings of the Big Ben, which explode the lights with every bell. The London Eye "dance" under the music making a spectacular performance.

The famous New Year tradition could be found in Spain. In Madrid thousands of residents count down in Puerta del Sol along with doing their "grape's tradition" - by eating 12 grapes in time with the clock's rings.
Regardless of the weather, about two million people are used to come to Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro for the Year End party. The biggest in local party starts right after the midnight with unforgatable massive fireworks. Here, in Brazil people have a tradition to meet the upcoming year in white clothes.

In the New York city, which never sleeps, the annual dropping ceremony of the famous big crystal ball take place at the Times Square in the last minute of a previous year as a sign of the New Year arrival. This tradition come since 1907, when the ball fallen first time, on the roof of the New York Times skyscraper. Only at 1942-43 the ball wasn't running because of the military blackout for camouflage the city center. Usually thousands of New Yorkers was celebrate together under performances of the singers like Lady Gaga.
