Yesterday in Kiev (Ukraine) has passed a grand opening ceremony of the Olympic Stadium - the main stadium of European Football Championship UEFA EURO 2012.

A new arena has an "Elite" class, with the biggest in the world roof, which cover all seats,  and can fit about 71,000 people. 
The stadium isn't absolutely new, but has its own 100 year history, and was rebuild on the place of the old Republican Stadium.

In the ceremony took part about 3,5 thousand artists, with a performance of local stars - Ani Lorak, Gaitana, and a special guest - Shakira.

The 2012 UEFA European Football Championship or simply EURO 2012 is the second world biggest sport event this year, after Olympic Games in London. The tournament will be hosted by Ukraine and Poland between 8 June and 1 July 2012. The final football match will take place on 1 July 2012 at the Olympic Stadium in the Ukranian capital, Kiev (at 21:45, local time /UTC+3 ).
